New Hope Stables is small quite place that is  located
in a small town in North Carolina.  New Hope Stables
was not just named after the road that it resides on .
Mrs. Carla Bundy also named her barn New Hope
Stables because of the hope that her heart filled
with.  Hope that not only she can reach a child but
that she can love a horse that is in need of a good
home.  The barn has grown so much in the past few
years along with the hearts of all the Kids, Parents,
Horses and Ponies that  are involved.  We feel that
New Hope Stables is truly Blessed!

About Our Trainer...
At the young age of only nine Carla Thornton began her career as a rider. She began by
receiving lesson from local instructors. She joined the local 4-H clubs and started showing
at the local and state competitions. At the age of 15, she was invited to continue her equine
knowledge in Pennsylvania as a working student with Jane Sleeper (Olympic Competitor).
Carla also had the privilege trained with Patrick Wright (Former Olympic Trainer). After
this Carla and her horse, Little Getout won many competitions for 3- day eventing. Carla
also worked with a world champion Quarter horse trainer. Now Carla is a trainer to
students of all ages. Her kids (students) have pulled many end of the year champion and
High point for the show. Each student has grown and improved over the years.  She has one
day a week set aside to teach moms how to ride. She teaches many types of disciplines. She
now owns her own facility with borders and lesson horses. Carla also volunteers her time to
a local 4-H club as the leader (The High Achievers) and Perquimans County High School
Equine Class.  Carla also Founded the Inter-County Saddle Club Open Horse Show.
